Joy in Pink

This piece emerged from a desire to explore pink as a feeling — joyful, playful, and expansive. I wanted the surface to be filled with small shapes and abundant detail, so that the composition could unfold like a kind of labyrinth: dense, rhythmic, and alive with visual surprises. Each mark developed in response to the one before it, allowing the painting to grow intuitively into an intricate field of interwoven forms. Bright pinks, warm oranges, and soft purples animate the surface with movement and energy, while the layered details invite a slower kind of looking, in which new relationships and hidden forms gradually reveal themselves.
